IMPACTS OF FASHION ON SOCIETY Fashion affects the social aspects of life. According to Luciana Zegheanu, fashion causes changes in social, economic and political landscapes. Thus, fashion benefits and stimulates society, in the process promoting creativity. Fashion also has its negative impacts. For instance, it diverts people’s attention from other important activities and affects the self esteem of people who cannot afford certain clothing. Fashion trends come and go meanwhile a society’s value are established and evolving characteristic to their beliefs and culture.
